Children’s Registered Manager

Children’s Registered Manager

Our client is part of a wider, well-established care group that continues to invest in its brands. As the company continues to grow, it is now seeking a Children’s Registered Manager/Home Manager to support a one-child service for a 17-year-old based in their own fully converted home.

Salary

£45k to £60k (depending on experience) plus negotiation for the right candidate.

Location

Due to the high complexities around this person, ideally, this person would live within a 1-hour commute (Weymouth). This individual is located near the train station in Weymouth. This is a hybrid role with up to 2 days per week working from home, and some flexibility is needed in terms of attending meetings and emergencies.

Hours

Monday to Friday (37 hours per week: office hours, 8 am-4 pm/9 am-5 pm) plus on-call on a rota basis, which involves, on average, 2-3 times per week (additional payment is made for this).

Type of Role

Full-time, permanent position.

The Role

The individual who the successful candidate will help to support has autism, ADHD, complex trauma, anxiety and a history of suicidal behaviour, including self-harm.

A stable care team currently supports this young person, including a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a Health Care Assistant who provides 1:1 support 24/7 alongside a Registered Manager. The team also has administration support and a part-time Care Coordinator.

This service is not currently registered; however, all the paperwork is complete, so the successful candidate must be happy taking it to Ofsted to get it registered (there are currently two other services in Bristol).

Career progression: As the brand and service grow, the company will look to develop any ‘a-players’ into a regional operational role. The company is keen to expand across the area and take on more premises.

The Requirements

Key Skills of Successful Candidate:

  • This person would be instrumental in getting the service registered.
  • Please note: the residence/property belongs to the service.
  • The candidate must be a registered manager.
