Security Installation Engineer

Founded in 1984, our client is a leading UK engineering contractor specialising in mechanical, electrical, fire, and electronic security systems. Headquartered in Cardiff, they employ over 120 people nationwide and deliver services to more than 500 commercial, industrial, blue light, and third sector organisations.

With exciting new projects on the horizon, they are now seeking experienced two Security Installation Engineers to join their growing team.

As a Security Installation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of integrated security solutions, including access control, CCTV, and intruder alarms. You will work with prestigious blue-chip clients across the UK, ensuring high-quality delivery on every project.

This is a mobile role with national travel (accommodation and expenses covered). Engineers typically travel Monday to Friday, returning home at weekends.

Up to £40k (depending on level of experience).

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, and related security systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
  • Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate installation and service records.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

The Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems (Lenel and Genetec experience desirable but not essential).
  • ECS/CSCS certification advantageous.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel and work away from home.
  • Engineers willing to undergo training are encouraged to apply.
