Field Sales Representative

Our client is a progressive and expanding company with offices in Bath, Plympton and Redruth. Over the last 25 years, the company has grown from an amalgam of smaller office equipment suppliers to a fully integrated multi-million-pound organisation. This unique structure has enabled them to retain all those smaller company values of true customer care, business ethics and traditional values of excellence and marry them with the large company benefits of increased purchasing power, greater staff training, and more cost-effective operational costs.

They are now seeking a Field Sales Representative to embrace these values and join their sales team covering the Bath area and parts of Dorset. The role is suited to someone living slightly South of Bath, Yeovil, or Wincanton.


Up to £27k basic salary, OTE £36k (top earner is earning 6 figures)




Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm with 1 hour for lunch.

The Role

The role is a hybrid position with a 50:50 split between new business and account management. It will involve ensuring that personal sales targets (including upgrades and add-on sales) are met and that high standards of service and advice are provided to customers and prospective customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • To personally contact and manage customer and prospective customer relationships in order to maximise sales, including upgrade and add-on sales, in a professional manner.
  • To continually identify and appoint prospective clients working both alone and in conjunction with the company’s telesales team.
  • To draw up and ensure that sales proposals are accurate and meet agreed profit margins.
  • To ensure that, from the customers’ perspective, after a sale is agreed the process of installation and training occurs in a timely and professional manner.
  • To update company CRM on a daily basis ensuring all contacts are detailed and correct.
  • To maintain and develop knowledge of the company’s equipment ranges and associated ICT systems and to actively update and develop sales and marketing knowledge and skills.

The Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Have at least two years of B2B field sales experience in the office equipment industry.
  • Have experience speaking with decision-makers.
  • Be happy to self-generate appointments (the company has two telesales team members who will provide appointments on an ad hoc basis).
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong level of achievement against set targets.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence.
  • Possess drive and ambition to succeed.
