Field Sales Representative East Cornwall

Our client is a leading provider of office equipment and managed print solutions across the South West and South Wales. Due to the retirement of a long-standing employee, they are seeking an ambitious, driven Field Sales Consultant to cover East Cornwall, including Bodmin, Launceston, St Austell, Liskeard, and Plymouth.

This is a varied and rewarding field sales role, split approximately 50/50 between new business development and account management. You will inherit an existing customer base and be responsible for generating new business in your territory.

You’ll be trusted to manage your diary independently, meeting customers face-to-face and remotely, with support from the internal team.

Salary

Salary: £29,400 basic, OTE: £44,500+ (uncapped commission)

Location

East Cornwall (office base in Plymouth).

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm (with a sales team meeting every Monday morning in the Plymouth office).

Type of Role

Full-time, permanent position, company car/allowance provided, fuel card or mileage allowance, laptop, printer and mobile phone.

The Role

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, maximising upgrade and add-on sales
  • Proactively identify and win new business opportunities
  • Self-generate appointments and prospect confidently within your territory
  • Meet customers in person or remotely, with technical support available when required
  • Prepare accurate, profitable sales proposals
  • Ensure a smooth handover post-sale, including installation and training
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Continually develop product, technical and sales knowledge
  • Work in line with company policies, procedures, and values

The Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ B2B field sales experience
  • Ideally experience within office equipment, photocopiers, IT, telecoms or similar.
  • Comfortable engaging with decision makers
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Confident self-starter with strong prospecting skills
  • Ambitious, driven and eager to learn
  • Full UK driving licence required
