Our client is a long-established, dynamic and growing organisation specialising in Electrical, Mechanical, Fire & Security services, with national contracts and long-term client partnerships.
Their continued expansion means they are now seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join their supportive and friendly Service & Maintenance Department.
This vacancy has arisen due to an internal engineer relocating out of the area.

Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30 am-5 pm (40 hours per week)
Type of Role
The Role
As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will support the delivery of Planned Preventive Maintenance and Reactive Callout work across a variety of customer sites, helping maintain the full contract lifecycle in a hands-on, field-based role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of systems, including:
- Addressable & conventional fire alarm systems
- Remote signalling systems (e.g., Redcare, Dualcom)
- Emergency lighting
- CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
- Participation in the 24/7 on-call rota (1 week in every 4)
- Delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining excellent on-site standards
- Travelling throughout the Midlands region
Training & Support
Full training is provided, including:
- Induction at the Cardiff office
- Mentoring from an experienced engineer
- System-specific training
- Ongoing development and team meetings (preferably remote where possible)

The Requirements
We are looking for an engineer with:
- A proven technical background in Fire & Security systems
- Good knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and relevant British Standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass full security vetting (NPPV2)
- A proactive, organised, and customer-focused attitude
- Candidates based in Coventry, Leicester, or Northampton are especially encouraged to apply.
