Our healthcare client is seeking a full-time, In-House Trainer to join their team in the Manchester/Leeds offices.

The In-House Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs tailored to the needs of both colleagues and clinicians. As an In-House Trainer, your primary goal will be to enhance skills and competencies, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance and professional development. The In-House Trainer will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and develop strategies to address skill gaps.

£25k-£30k.

Location

Leeds/Manchester

Hours

37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, office hours, unpaid lunch for 30 mins. Training usually starts at 10 am and finishes by 2.30/3 pm, when the successful candidate can return home.

Type of Role

Full-time, permanent.

The Role

Two to three days per week will be spent delivering training to clinicians and colleagues, with Monday and Friday usually being utilised for admin/meetings/planning. The trainers tend to book their training calendar six months in advance; however, they will need to be flexible due to new packages/new people needing support.

Training will primarily be delivered alone to groups of no more than 12 people. However, the team will work together to put the training schedule together.

The role focuses on clinician-centric practices and a person-centred approach, ensuring that training supports individuals’ diverse and complex care needs. Training topics include medication awareness, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour support, manual handling, and essential life support. Continuous personal learning and development are encouraged to keep the training inclusive and aligned with the organisation’s growth and the needs of those it supports.

The company will also consider delivering specific workshops, including manual handling, first aid, medication, and epilepsy, but if the successful candidate has other skills/experience to offer, the company is happy to explore this.

Additionally, the In-House Trainer will maintain accurate training records, develop e-learning modules and report outcomes to leadership.

The Requirements

Do you have?

  • Minimum Level 3 AET (Education and Training) and evidence of delivering health and social care training.
  • Must have had experience of delivering at least the following 4: manual handling, first aid, medication and epilepsy
  • Level 3 Assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards it, along with a Care Certificate or readiness to obtain it
  • Experience working within a health and social care setting, including delivering and assessing the Care Certificate
  • A valid Train the Trainer certification in core subjects would be advantageous
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or learning disabilities is a plus.
  • A valid, full UK driving licence and access to your vehicle.
