Security Installation and Service Engineer (North West)

Our client is a well-established and trusted name in the fire and security industry, delivering innovative solutions to clients nationwide. From Blue-Chip businesses to Police Forces, they design, install and maintain integrated security systems for some of the UK’s most respected organisations.

They are now looking for a skilled and motivated Security Installation and Service Engineer to join their North West team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining a range of security systems, including access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and fire systems.

Salary

£27,000 – £38,000 (depending on level of experience) + overtime at enhanced rates+ benefits

Location

North West England (Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire).

Hours

40 hours per week (Mon–Fri, approx. 7:30am–4:30pm), no on-call required.

Type of Role

Full-time, permanent.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, and other integrated security solutions
  • Carry out servicing and reactive maintenance on security and fire systems (notifier fire experience desirable but not essential)
  • Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Keep accurate records of installations and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company expectations

The Requirements

Experience Required:

  • Technical experience with access control, CCTV, fire and intruder alarm systems
  • Experience with Lenel, PAC or Cathexis VMS (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • ECS/CSCS/IPAF or similar qualifications (advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to pass police vetting
  • Willingness to travel and work away when needed
  • Engineers willing to train and develop are encouraged to apply
