New Business Account Manager

A New Business Account Manager is required by our client, based in Honiton, to join their sales team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a great company. Since 2002, they have been recognised with the Investors in People award, and they are the sole organisation in their industry to receive the national ServiceMark Customer Service Award with Distinction from the Institute of Customer Service.

Salary

£25,025 plus uncapped commission, (additional £5k OTE).

Location

Honiton, Devon then hybrid working after 6-month probation period is passed.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

Type of Role

Full-time, permanent.

The Role

The primary responsibilities for the role will include the following:

  • Act as the first point of contact for new customers and will therefore need to deliver an excellent first impression and customer service experience.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships via the telephone, online chat and email.
  • Qualify potential quality business opportunities and gain an understanding of project requirements.
  • Assist customers with information requests.
  • Utilise your product knowledge to specify the most suitable system(s) for the customer’s project.
  • Work closely with other internal colleagues to ensure customers receive excellent service.
  • Handling customer objections and negotiation when necessary.
  • Record all activity and project details via the company’s CRM system.
  • Be a team player, confident and driven towards ensuring that personal sales targets are met whilst contributing to achieving the team’s target through proactive identification and follow-up and effective qualification of potential new business.

Training: A very comprehensive induction and training programme is provided.

Start date: In the New Year.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Have new business development experience
  • Have account management experience
  • Have exceptional customer relationship management skills
  • Have a customer centric approach to consultative sales.
  • Be hungry, driven and a self-starter
  • Have good levels of IT literacy
  • Be a good communicator and confident
  • Have experience of, and be happy working to targets
  • Be happy to learn.
  • Ideally have experience within the heating and ventilation industry, although not essential.
